A Stone
in the Shoe
Hikers' Refuge
Chris arrives at a ten-bed hostel in the Catalan Pyrenees looking for mountains, long walks, good food, and a break from ordinary life.
Then Raúl invites him hunting.
The invitation leads through dark mountain roads, a wild-boar hunt, an old estate carrying centuries of history, and a chain of events in which the boundaries between guest, outsider and accomplice become increasingly difficult to locate.
Hikers' Refuge: A Stone in the Shoe is a compact story about travel, chance encounters, old loyalties, and what can happen when you say yes to the unexpected.
A holiday is ordinary right up until the moment it isn't.
